One of us moved from 50cc onto 4 wheels without passing his test (big mistake).
The other took and passed his test (whilst falling off out of sight of the examiner!) when he was a pup.
Now, as one is leaving his mid life crisis and the other is pensive before entry, we are being allowed out alone!!
When our initial mid life biking optimism was trashed by our teenage leathers not allowing us to get a leg over the bike, we knew it was time for change.
If we were going to do this we were going to do it right - so we bought the biggest bikes we could get. BMW GSA's.
Got a deal on the 'twins' jackets.....
Having just passed my 'mid life crisis' bike test I was immediately booked in for a hernia when I inadvertently kicked the side stand away when about to ride away in the dealers car park. Fortunately the bike was rescued before tasting tarmac - unlike my reputation....
So to date we have managed one trip abroad which went reasonably well.
Well apart from
- running out of fuel
- blowing up a petrol station
- constant hangovers
- discovering how personal hygiene can change over the years ( and we used to have a family underwear drawer - including Mum!)
- falling out on the last day.......
So - after a year's break to recover - we are off again.
PS - we've changed the jackets.
